Video: Brave Female Air Peace Pilot Averts Plane Crash In Lagos But Loses Tires

Tragedy was averted today at the at the international wing of the Muritala Mohammed airport as a flight belonging to Air Peace, intended for the local wing of the Lagos airport was allegedly forced to make an emergency landing due to poor weather.

A Medical doctor who was a lucky passenger aboard the flight gave account through her instagram page, (@ariellafitness) giving thanks to God and sighting the poor emergency response at the airport, after the plane lost two sets of its tires during the scary landing, she further sighted the bravery of the female pilot who did her best to avert the tragedy, below is a full account of the scary experience.

Today… Was a confirmation of His annointing upon my life. For the 2nd time this year, I had near death experience. First na Okada, now na Plane. As we arrived Lagos on Air Peace , the pilot (she was a woman, I was so proud) announced that we will be landing at international tarmac because of visibility issues. The sleep wey bin dey my eyes, auto cleared.

Some minutes later, seems the plane started nose diving on a fast track. And she in her expertise applied control. Then… Next… It picked up a speed and bang!!! bang!!!!!! We dropped from the sky to the hard ground. And the ceiling of the plan dropped. Children crying. People screaming Blood of Jesus! Some screaming my Mummy. It was hard! My life flashed before me.

Then the pilot informed that she can’t estimate the damage, however, that the plane lost its both tyres. That she had signaled for an evacuation. She kept working hard, though unsuccessfully, to calm agitated. They said they are awaiting tow truck to tow us from international tarmac to local. I got my bag, had my inhaler handy… And we awaited emergency rescue.

Tiwa Savage rents entire cinema for son to watch The Lion King

Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage rented out an entire Cinema for her son Jamil and his friends to celebrate his birthday yesterday, the singer revealed on her social media page.

Jamil was celebrating his 4th birthday and the celebration had been holding since the day started as a party had earlier held at a location.

The young boy was captured with Davido’s daughter at the birthday party as the duo hugged each other as good friends.

His mother later took him and his friends to an undisclosed cinema to watch the new Beyonce’s movie, Lion King.

Arsenal head of football Raul Sanllehi has flown back to London to thrash out transfers for two players.

The Gunners are currently on their pre-season tour of America but Sanllehi has returned early to the UK as the clock ticks down on the transfer window.

FASA ARTLYMPICS 

DAY 3

The third day of Artlympics kicks off to controversial moments and heated up scenes.

In  the opening match between creative arts and philosophy, the first half showed philosophy display midfield skills and outstanding differences. 

The trojans fought back hard in the second half but could not get a goal as the match ended goalless. 

The next fixture between English and History ended up sending the Spartans to the bottom of the table in their group. 

THe match started off with English drawing the first blood testing the golden gloves of history. 

 The Spartans returned the call, but few minutes into the second half the English found the back of the net twice as the weakness of the golden glove was exposed and brutally utilized.

 In the female football, the Trojans female warriors saw off a reeling 3 goal to nothing win in a walk over match against the female Spartans. 

And the female team of Nasels had a win over Naps in a 1-0 controversial match with a controversial goal.

Heated up emotions on the Artlympics 2019 continue on Monday as Linguistics will be taking on History, and Creative Arts will be taking on under dogs European Language?

Will the golden gloves of the Spartan team redeem himself?

Uproar As Nyeri Police Officers Arrest Those Without Underwear

Walking around Nyeri Town without innerwear can get you arrested after the police officers from the area a fortnight ago began inspecting those walking around without the ‘holy garment.’

According to an article by a local newspaper, the Police officers are have been profiling those walking without the garment as suspects of the outlawed Mungiki, a criminal gang consisting of mainly of youths from the Kikuyu community, which has reportedly reemerged.

A section of the residents have reported the incidence, claim that they have had to bear with the brunt of police brutality and harassment and have now called for the government and humanitarian organizations to intervene

The reports which have since gone viral has caused an uproar online with a good number of Kenyans coming to the rescue of the troubled residents.

Some went on to condemn the move while others termed it hilarious.

One Derrick Mbuguaa wrote;

“Nyeri youths decry harassment, you are arrested if you are not wearing underwear.Why are police arresting them I thought wearing underwear is a choice ?”

This is happening just a few days after Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu claimed that the whole move was political where he accused a section of  Mt. Kenya MPs allied to the Deputy President Willam Ruto of branding members from the region who are against the Tanga Tanga as ‘Mungiki’.

Ther vocal MP claimed that the team has opted to adopt the plot so that they can scare and intimidate those against them especially in early politicking

They claim that the men, women and children who are standing up to their premature politics, are Mungiki. They hope to draw from the loathing we have for this illegal group to scare and intimidate people from telling them off when they speak politics at the wrong place”.He added, “TangaTanga leaders from Mt Kenya who are pushing the narrative that poor frustrated young Kikuyu men should be arrested or killed purely on the basis of their financial status, gender & ethnicity; and because they refuse to support your political of premature 2022 campaigns and disrespecting the President; we can only call you ‘Tukunia.”
