Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich ready to sign Barcelona attacking Midfielder
According to Sport, Chelsea are set to sign Barcelona attacking midfielder Ilaix Moriba from La Masia with Blues owner Roman Abramovich personally interested. SPORT have learned that there was a meeting between the player’s agent and the English club and that it went well.Chelsea were always one of the sides following Ilaix. However, in the last few days they’ve upped their interest. Marina Granovskaia, Abramovich’s person of confidence at the club, has permission to go all out for the 16-year-old midfielder. Therefore, they’ve offered a better deal — financially and sporting — than Barça and Manchester City. Given his qualities, the Premier League could suit him and he’s been called the new Pogba. But nothing is closed yet. Ilaix’s people want a decision as soon as possible. There’s interest from City, who were the favourites, Juventus and Chelsea. Barça also have an offer on the table for him to stay. The Catalans, for the first time, have made a hige effort to satisfy his agent’s financial demands.Monday was set to be reveal day, but Chelsea’s intervention could delay things. Ilaix doesn’t want to decide in a rush after turning 16 on Saturday. For now, he’s not training with Barça’s U19 team as the saga reaches its finale.
